This policy explains what personal data is handled when you use Make My Shed at makemyshed.com. The shed design and material calculations run in your browser. Google services may be enabled for analytics and advertising, subject to your consent where required.
Who is responsible
Make My Shed is run by David Madelin, the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: privacy@makemyshed.com.
Your shed design
Dimensions, construction selections and finishes are processed locally in your browser and are not sent to our server. Your latest configuration is saved in local storage under make-my-shed-design until you reset it or clear your browser data.
Analytics
If enabled, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits and broad usage patterns, including whether a design is started, the material schedule or frame view is used, a design is reset, or the DeckCutList link is followed. These events use broad UI categories and do not include shed dimensions or complete configurations. Analytics may also process page views, device and browser information, referral information and approximate location. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied until you consent through the Google-certified consent message.
Advertising
The site may show manual ad units served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for delivery, fraud prevention, measurement and, with consent, personalisation. Auto ads are not enabled by this site.

Consent and cookies
For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform provides choices for advertising and analytics. Google consent cookies may store those choices for up to 13 months. If Analytics or AdSense is enabled, Google may also use cookies such as _ga, __gads, __gpi and __eoi, depending on your choices.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves and protects the website and processes technical request information such as IP address, browser details and requested URLs. This is necessary for secure site delivery. Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the UK; they use recognised safeguards for international transfers.
Your choices and rights
You can change your privacy settings, block or delete cookies in your browser, or clear the locally saved shed design without affecting the core designer. Under applicable UK and European data-protection law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or your local supervisory authority.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service and its third-party integrations change. The date above identifies the current version.
