Terms of use

What the site does

Make My Shed is a free planning tool that visualises a timber shed and estimates a timber schedule from the dimensions and construction choices you enter. The service may change, be unavailable or be withdrawn.

Estimates, not structural advice

• The output is only as accurate as your measurements and selections.
• Material quantities, cut lengths, stock optimisation and planning-height messages are estimates and guidance. Check them before buying or cutting material.
• The designer is not structural engineering, architectural, planning or Building Regulations advice. Suitability depends on matters including site conditions, exposure, timber grade, connections, spans, loads and workmanship.
• Use a competent professional where design approval or structural verification is needed.

Using the site

You may use the tool and its output for personal or business projects. Do not disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with advertising or consent controls.

Advertising and external services

The site may show Google advertising and link to other websites. We do not control advertisers or third-party sites and are not responsible for their products, services or content.

Liability

The service is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on its output, including material, labour, delay, rebuilding or lost-profit costs. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, and your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.

Privacy

The privacy and cookie policy explains how local storage, Cloudflare and optional Google services are used.

Law and changes

We may update these terms. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, while users elsewhere retain any mandatory protections that apply where they live. Questions can be sent to privacy@makemyshed.com.
